It is a topical treatment prepared to address and solve various skin infections. This formula is effective in fighting several bacterial and fungal infections, promote healthier skin, and accelerate the healing process of affected areas
This formula has been designed by combining five active constituents: Clobetasol propionate, Ketoconazole, Neomycin sulfate, Tolnaftate, and Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline. Clobetasol propionate is a steroidal medicine that causes redness in the skin by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins); reducing itching and swelling. Ketoconazole damages the fungal cell membrane and this membrane is necessary for the survival of the fungus. Neomycin sulfate is an antibiotic that inhibits the growth of bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to perform vital functions. Tolnaftate is an antifungal agent that inhibits fungal growth by inhibiting the squalene epoxidase enzyme (crucial for the synthesis of fungal cell membranes) and leads to cell death. Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline has a broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity that disrupts the cell membrane of cell membranes and inhibits vital enzyme systems, leading to the prevention and treatment of bacterial and fungal skin infections.
